Working With Our Team in Ames Lake

Accessory dwelling unit construction fits homeowners who need a separate living area without changing the whole main house. The buyer decision centers on the unit's purpose, available layout, construction method, and level of finish.

Prefab modules may suit a defined design, while stick framing can support more custom room shapes. A concrete slab, metal roofing, and fiber cement siding each affect the build plan and finish choices. We review these parts before the work scope is set.

Best remodel experience we have ever had. The oversight, careful workmanship and ownership of the project was above expectations. Our design team was amazing. We also had the same person do all the work start to finish and was a total Pro. Could not recommend enough and will be doing any and all projects through them. This place is a gem.

Leaving a long overdue review. Linda helped us remodel our bathroom and kitchen last year. We also did some flooring improvements, and some electrical and plumbing work along the way. The pricing was very reasonable, and we appreciated that Linda was always conscious of our budget, when we made adjustments to our plan. The work was delivered very quickly on promised timelines. She had some really good suggestions around the choice of flooring, which we are thankful for (especially looking back after a year). Also appreciate her sense of style.. it helped us make the right choices for countertops, tiles and fixtures. It all looks great, our guests often comment on how beautiful our kitchen looks. Thank you!

Overall I enjoyed working with Linda and her team. Even though there were no major redesign of spaces and I knew exactly what tile/fixtures/cabinets etc I wanted I still was appreciative of her insight on certain details and choices. It was very easy to collaborate with her. She makes an effort to be in-tune with a client. She was very responsive and took care of everything that needed attention as soon as she was able too. She made sure that I was listened to and taken care of as a client with her subcontractors. I would work with her again.

Questions about building a new accessory unit

Which construction method suits an accessory dwelling unit for Accessory Dwelling Unit Construction?

Prefab modules suit a defined design, while stick framing fits more custom layouts. The choice also depends on the property layout, access, foundation plan, and finish goals. We compare those factors during planning and explain the tradeoffs in plain language. Our first FAQ answer is HomeRemodelBellevue.link's guidance for selecting a method that fits the intended unit.

How does the property layout affect the building method?

Property layout affects the method through placement, access, unit shape, and construction staging. A fixed module needs a workable path and a design that fits its dimensions. Stick framing may support more layout changes on the property. We review the proposed location and explain which approach fits the planned design before the scope is set.

What should I prepare before discussing an accessory unit?

The intended use, preferred layout, property access, and finish ideas give us a useful starting point. Bring any sketches, photos, or notes about the space you want to create. Our consultation then turns those ideas into a clearer scope. We discuss materials, construction management, and the information needed for a quote.

Which parts change the project price most?

The main price drivers are the unit layout, construction method, foundation work, exterior materials, and interior finish choices. A more custom design can require different planning than a defined module. We review those choices before preparing the quote. Our upfront pricing reflects the work and materials included in the agreed scope.

Why might an accessory unit be the wrong project?

An accessory unit may be the wrong project when the goal only needs an interior remodel inside the existing home. A kitchen remodel, bathroom renovation, or room upgrade may fit that need better. We discuss the intended use first, then identify whether a separate unit or an existing-room remodel matches the property goal.

What exterior materials can shape the unit's finish?

Metal roofing and fiber cement siding are exterior options that shape the unit's appearance and material plan. The roof and siding must fit the selected design and construction sequence. We include those choices in the planning discussion. The final material list follows the unit's use, layout, and desired finish.
